MFS
/

A small company doing
serious international trade. Since 2015.

MFS is not a large agency, and we are not trying to look like one. We are a focused trading and sourcing company with real people in both Scandinavia and China — built on direct manufacturer relationships, not broker networks.

the story

Built from the ground up, on both sides of the world.

MFS was founded in Norway in 2015 on a simple premise: the distance between Scandinavian buyers and Chinese manufacturers is not just geographic — it is operational. Most trading companies manage the paperwork. MFS is built to manage the relationship.

Over time, that meant building a genuine operating platform in China rather than relying on agents or referral networks. Supplier relationships are managed through Funuo International Trading in Bengbu, where factory visits, quality follow-up and logistics coordination happen on the ground — not remotely from Norway.

Today MFS works across three commercial verticals — Food & Beverage, Glass & Industrial, and OEM & Private Label — through named, verifiable manufacturing partners. The intent is not to be a broad catalogue trader, but a small, trusted and repeatable sourcing partner in categories where MFS can demonstrate direct relationships and real China-side execution.

What mfs is not

Not a mass-market sourcing marketplace. Not a dropshipping business. Not a remote broker that disappears once an order is placed. Not a generalist importer trying to sell every product category.

why mfs existS

Sourcing from China is not the hard part. Managing it is.

Supplier discovery is not the same as supplier verification. Most Scandinavian buyers can find a factory. What is harder — and where MFS earns its role — is qualification, specification, sample coordination, quality follow-up, documentation and logistics, handled by people physically present on both sides.

the buyer problem
Discovery isn't qualification

A low unit price can be offset by quality failures, rework, delays or documentation gaps. Smaller Scandinavian buyers often lack a dedicated China sourcing team to catch this before it becomes a problem.

The manufacturer problem
Capability without access

Chinese manufacturers often have strong production capability but limited local sales presence, language capability or commercial relationships in the Nordic region.

The MFS role
Owning the coordination layer

MFS sits between both problems — reducing sourcing risk for buyers while creating qualified market access for manufacturers, from specification through delivery.

MFS is a Scandinavian trading and sourcing company with active people in Norway and China. We help buyers work directly with selected manufacturers, and we stay involved from supplier qualification through production and delivery.

how we work

A few rules we don't break.

Principle 01
We source directly

Every supplier in our network is visited, qualified and documented before being brought to a client. We do not pass through intermediaries or aggregate sourcing platforms.

Principle 02
We stay in the process

International trade tends to go wrong when the trading company disappears after the order is placed. We stay involved from sample approval through delivery.

Principle 03
We work long-term

Most supplier and client relationships are built to run for years, not one transaction. We take on fewer clients so each one gets real attention.

Principle 04
We say no when we should

MFS competes on trust, access and execution — not on appearing larger than it is. If we are not the right fit for a project, we say so directly.
